Unintended Effects of History essays In the corse of the worlds history, there have been defining moments that have shaped history. These events had a intended effect that were meant for the people of its time. The most defining events have lasted and have had unintended effects, positive and negative, on past eras and generations. A few defining moments in history have been the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215, Martin Luthers posting of the 95 Thesis in 1517, and the Russian Revolution in 1917. All had unintended effects that changed history. To no one will we sell, to know one will we refuse or delay the right of justice. That is a expert from the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta was a document that had a huge influence on England and helped form the governments of other great civilizations. The Magna Carta has said to have been the greatest document every made and signed. Its intent worked by giving the barons of England rights, but it also had great, positive unintended effects on the rest of the world. The Magna Carta was signed by King John of England in 1215. King John signed the Magna Carta because of a deal he had with the people of England. He need money from his nobles and barons and they would only give it to him if he signed the Magna Carta giving them their rights. The Magna Carta was written by the English barons. The people of England were annoyed with Kind John. He abused his power, increased taxes, used too many soldiers for his military campaigns. He also was excommunicated from the Church which made the people of England unhappy with him. The Magna Carta stated that king had to respect the law and obey. The Magna Carta is a law greater than king and can not be broken by anyone. It is a document that set a standard of justice and liberty and is still a part of history today.
